Stage 4: Isolation
To tighten their grip, narcissists isolate their victims from support systems. This includes cutting ties with friends and family creating a dependency that further entangles the victim in the relationship.
Stage 5: Control
Micromanaging behavior and imposing dominance mark this stage. The victim’s autonomy is eroded as the narcissist exercises increasing control over every aspect of their life.
Stage 6: Escalation
Control tactics intensify, and hostility escalates. The victim finds themselves trapped in a cycle of manipulation and abuse, feeling powerless to break free.
